The money is part of $119.5 million in community prevention and wellness awards handed out this month across the nation.  Georgia will get $1.2 million for efforts in nutrition, physical activity, and tobacco control.  Another $1.1 million is designed to help expand tobacco cessation programs.

The money is part of recovery act funds distributed by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.
