(AP) -- Georgia's top court has ruled in favor of five exotic dancers who argued that an Atlanta ordinance that restricted adults under age 21 from entering a store selling alcohol effectively stripped them of their right to dance in strip clubs.

In an opinion published Monday, the state Supreme Court found that the ordinance conflicts with two state laws that deal with underaged persons who serve alcoholic beverages as part of their jobs.

The opinion written by Chief Justice Carol Hunstein says the state laws make it clear that people over the age of 18 but not yet 21 are allowed to dispense, serve, sell or handle alcoholic beverages as part of their employment.

Attorneys representing Deanna Willis, Danielle Barbee, Ashlie Startley, Olivia Almeida and Rachel Haxo had labeled it a right-to-work case.
