The manager of a Tifton restaurant has been arrested and charged with felony theft by conversion for allegedly stealing at least $70,000 from the business.

38-year-old Leisa Ann Butler is accused of stealing money from the Ole Times Country Buffet over a three-month period.  Police Detective Len Moore says the investigation is ongoing and employees of the restaurant are continuing to go through a year’s worth of paperwork to determine just how much money is missing. 

Moore says he believes Butler stole the money by “inflating figures” on paperwork but couldn’t elaborate further.
