(AP) -- Home Depot co-founder Bernie Marcus has committed $20 million to Grady Memorial Hospital to expand its trauma center
and stroke care.
Marcus also founded the Georgia Aquarium. The gift announced on Friday will expand the cash-strapped hospital's trauma center to six bays from four and create a 20-bed intensive care unit for victims of strokes and brain injuries.
Grady is the only Level One trauma center in Atlanta. It is the major health care hospital for the poor and uninsured.
