Next Friday and Saturday parents can get free photos and fingerprints taken of their child as part of the identification program
There are nearly 60 children missing in Georgia, and every parent hopes their child will not become one.
However, in the worst case scenario, parents should be prepared to offer the most information they can to police. The Mayor's office and the Masons and Shriners of The Greater Albany Area are teaming up to sponsor an identification program. Hosted at the Hasan Temple on Palmyra Road, parents will be getting a dvd with pictures, digital fingerprints, and a description of the child in addition to a laminated ID card and a tooth print dental impression wafer (also used for canine scent).
Mentally ill persons and senior citizens with Alzheimers' disease are also urged to particiapte. There is no age limit. The program begins Friday, December 5th from 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. for military families and Saturday, December 6th from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and is free to the public.
