TIFTON, GA (AP) -- Neighbors living near a bat-infested Georgia home in foreclosure are trying to figure out what to do about the flying mammals.

They say the smell outside is so overwhelming they can't sit on their porches and enjoy the spring weather.

City officials posted a sign on the home in Tifton's historic district, stating that it is not fit for human habitation or any other use until the bats are removed.

Becky Campbell, who lives across the street from the home, says the smell "has just been breathtaking almost."

An employee of an animal removal firm visited the home on Monday, and said it is full of bat guano and a cocktail of pathogens.
