UPDATE: Two are dead after a "drive-by" shooting in South Albany, Sunday night.

ALBANY, GA --
UPDATE (3/18/13 8:07 AM):

Police have announced that the two deceased victims from Sunday night's shooting were William Davis Jr. and Desmond Williams, both 20 years old..

Davis and Williams were reportedly standing outside their vehicle on Willard Drive when an unknown vehicle drove by, shooting both of them.

UPDATE (3/18/13 2:04 AM):

Albany police report that a second victim has died at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital after sustaining a gunshot wound to his upper torso.

At this time Police are classifying this case as a, "drive-by" shooting with gang ties a possibility.

No suspects have been identified at this time, as Albany Police interview witnesses to try and piece together how the shooting occurred.

UPDATE (3/17/13 11:15 PM):

Albany police officers report that three victims were in a vehicle when shots were fired. One is confirmed dead at the scene, the second has been transported to the hospital and is in critical condition. The third was unharmed in the incident.

Police currently do not have a description of the suspect but report that this does appear to be a drive-by shooting.


ORIGINAL STORY:

Albany/Dougherty dispatch officials are reporting that a shooting has taken place in the 500 block of Willard Avenue.

Albany police are currently on scene, however no details have been released as to the number of victims or if any suspects have been taken into custody.
