ALBANY, GA --
Former Lee County Board of Education member Greg Duke has thrown his hat back into the ring, this time for the United States 2nd District seat of the House of Representatives held by Sanford Bishop Jr.

Duke says in the release that he believes someone other than a politician is needed to do the right thing for the country and its citizens.

Duke added that he has considered running for Congress for the past six years, but a series of sermons during October at his church made him recognize that he needed to step up and do his part to steer America’s ship back on course to the principles that were the foundation of this great country. After getting down on his knees and talking to God, he realized that now was the time to announce his candidacy and take his message to the people.
