ALBANY, GA --
Through the last several months, the Dougherty County Finance Committee has been analyzing the county's budget as a whole.

During their Monday morning meeting, the committee heard from the, Albany-Dougherty Economic Development Commission in regards to where county funding goes towards.

Dougherty County currently provides the EDC with $250,000 dollars annually , with the City of Albany matching that number.

Between the two, the EDC draws $500,000 dollars of its $854,000 dollar budget for the fiscal year from both the city and the county.

The Finance Committee will be continuing this series next week with a look at the Clerk of Courts overall budget.
