ALBANY, GA --

Greenbriar Church held a finance workshop Sunday for the community.

People who attended learned how to develop a spending plan, strategies for eliminating debt, how much to save for retirement, and the power of compound interest.

Tim Bice, the Lead Pastor, said there is a real need for this in Albany. Bice feels not enough people were taught how to handle their finances and because of that they get theirselves into financial trouble when they’re older and don’t know how to get out.

Bice also said the church will be offering free finance coaching to anyone in the community who needs it.
