ALBANY, GA -- Dougherty County Commissioners made their final nominations Wednesday in regards to the library board.

With six candidates to choose from, a vote was taken and both Haryl Dabney and Karen Liebert were chosen to replace the board's two retired members.

Commissioner Clinton Johnson reacted to the vote after the meeting saying he believes they made the right choice.

"Both of them are young minds, and can bring fresh perspective to this board. So we're hoping that we can do better, and truly service the citizens of Dougherty County at an even higher level," said Johnson.

Johnson also described Dabney and Liebert in detail, saying they're both extremely qualified and will make the necessary changes to best serve the county.
