ALBANY, GA -- Residents around Albany spent the night huddled for warmth at the Albany Mall for "Mission Change's, Sleep With One Eye Open" event.

The event was to simulate the life that homeless individuals go through each and every night. Participants lined the field with tents, blankets, and even cardboard boxes.

Officials say they love holding the event each year, and are always thrilled with the turnout. On top of that, the event also raises food and funds for those less fortunate.

Event planners say they look forward to holding it again next year.
