Sumter County Sheriff Pete Smith was notified earlier today in reference to a missing person identified as Russ Floyd Barnes, age 48.  / Sumter County Sheriff's Office

Officials with the Sumter County Sheriff's Office confirm that Barnes has been located.


Initial Story (11/8/12)
Sumter County Sheriff Pete Smith was notified earlier today in reference to a missing person identified as Russ Floyd Barnes, age 48. He is descrived as a white male approximately 6'2" and 230 pounds with brown hair and hazel eyes.

Mr. Barnes was last seen driving a black 2008 Suburban, tag number CR2003 with pink letters "JLB" on the rear windshield.

The Sumter County Sheriff's Office is using all available resources in an ongoing search both on the ground and in the air to try and locate Mr. Barnes. Sheriff Smith advises that fowl play is not suspected at this time and further information will be forthcoming as available.
