ALBANY, GA --
In our Facebook Story of the Day we asked, "How are local charities helping the homeless as Thanksgiving approaches?"

The Albany Rescue Mission is holding a Thanksgiving dinner on the 21st of November, and on Thanksgiving day to help those less fortunate feel a sense of companionship on one of their loneliest days.

"We will be feeding the normal Thanksgiving meal, ham, turkey, and all the trimmings, to give the people a sense of community, a sense of fitting in and being a part of our family," said Assistant Director, Larry Daniel.

To get involved you can donate food to the Albany Rescue Mission which will be used during their Thanksgiving meal. Simply stop by their headquarters on Monroe Avenue.
