ALBANY, GA --
Administrators from both the City of Albany and Dougherty County held a retirement celebration for Dougherty County Police Chief Don Cheek Monday morning.

After 44-years of service, Dougherty County Police Chief Don Cheek is hanging up his badge. Friends and family shared their memories and feelings towards Cheek, along with an award presentation.

Chief Cheek's last day will be this coming Friday.
