A hit and run leaves one man dead in Cairo.
Police there are investigating the incident that happened Friday night around 7:40 pm when 57-year-old Tim Young was struck by a 1990 Toyota Corolla while crossing Highway 84 East at 8th Street Northeast.
Officials say 47-year-old Lanet Jones was the driver and fled the scene, but returned minutes after. She was arrested and charged with DUI, two counts of vehicular homicide and one count of leaving the scene.
