ALBANY, GA --
Students at Darton State College filled the theatre Wednesday for the annual, "life raft debates."

The event presents a fictional scenario where a comet has struck the earth and water is covering all land. Professors from eight different departments have survived the comet disaster, along with a life raft of students.

Unfortunately only one of the professors can fit in the life raft, causing each to debate for their life, convincing students they are most important for rebuilding the world.

After their argument has been presented, the students vote via text for who they think will be most beneficial in the new world.
