ALBANY,GA --
The city of Albany has decided to settle all lawsuits with fired Albany firefighter Roderick Jolivette.

As part of the settlement, the city’s Risk Management Fund will pay a lump sum of $185,000. And as part of the settlement Jolivette will retire in 2012 with additional years of credited service as if he had remained in employment through his normal retirement date. The settlement will also guarantee Jolivette will drop all lawsuits, pending EEOC charges and any other claims against the city and promises not to seek employment with the city of Albany in the future.

The Risk Management Fund will also compensate the Pension Fund for Jolivette’s retirement in the amount of $95,187.
