ALBANY, GA -- Phoebe Putney’s CEO Joel Warnick spoke at the Albany Rotary Club meeting today.
With the state of Georgia now having the power to decided whether or not to expand Medicaid; Warnick says the state’s decision could seriously affect our area, "Here is Southwest Georgia, there's a large Medicaid population so to the extent the decisions of the state of Georgia go one way or the other could have a great deal of impact on citizens of this area and Phoebe Putney in particular."
Warnick also said the outcome of the presidential election should also have an effect on health care in our area as well.
