TAMPA, FLA --
The downward trend in gas prices made a turn as prices moved higher last week.

According to AAA, tensions in the Middle East and falling U.S. jobless claims are driving gasoline costs up.

Here in Georgia, gas prices are up five cents from last week.

The average price for a gallon of regular unleaded gasoline was $3.58 and now it's up to $3.63.

While Georgia prices rose since last week, the national price for a gallon of regular unleaded has dropped.

The national average is $3.79, down from $3.81.
