ALBANY, GA --

The Colonial Village Town Watch Group answered Mayor Hubbard’s call to service this weekend.

The East Albany community, spent Saturday cleaning up around their neighborhood, in an effort to keep Albany beautiful.

Organizers enlisted the help of the area's youth, to give them something to do to keep them out of trouble.

"They start getting in trouble at a young age, and I think if we can get them busy, doing something positive at a young age, it'll be much better for the city", said Harold Williams the Colonial Village Block Captain.

Organizers say they cleaned about 8 streets and collected around 20 bags of trash.
