ALBANY, GA -- The organization, DIVAS held its annual block party event Friday to promote youth safety throughout Albany.

The group normally provides mentorship and guidance to young girls, giving them a place to come with their problems. However the block party appeals to young people throughout the community both male and female, something President and Founder, Felecia Frayall says is very important.

"This is actually our annual block party, we do this every single year and we try to pick a neighborhood that has a lot of children, so they can really benefit from our experience," said Frayall.

Frayall says the event was a huge success and looks forward to holding it again next year.
