ALBANY, GA --
Albany police say that Benchwarmers at 2422 Sylvester Road was the target of an armed robbery shortly after midnight Wednesday morning.

Officers say that two armed men entered the business with weapons drawn and in the air, with one of the suspects firing a shot inside the business before taking money from several of the eight customers inside at the time and a cash box. The suspects then fled the scene on foot with an unknown amount of cash.

The suspects are described as two black males, one being about 6'0" to 6'3" with a slender build while the other about 5'2 to 5'4" with a slender to medium build. Both were about 140 lbs and were wearing white shirts with dark colored jeans.

A third suspect possibly acting as a lookout was wearing a multi-colored shirt has been ruled out as a suspect in this case.
