ALBANY --
South Albany Medical Center held their Sixth Annual Health Fair on Saturday to raise awareness of deadly diseases in our area.
Community members received free health screenings while learning about a number of deadly diseases.
"We're doing the free HIV screens as well as cholesterol so knowing your numbers and knowing everything about your health actually just helps you prevent those sicknesses or illnesses as they come along,” said South Albany Medical Center’s Practice Administrator, Joycelyn Yates.
The center also gave away free coats to those in need and anyone who participated in the health screenings was entered in a raffle for prizes.
