ALBANY, GA --
First Update (10/2/12)
Local law enforcement say that Alicia Lawton turned herself into authorities Tuesday.

Initial Story
The Dougherty County Sheriff's Office has issued a warrant for a Dougherty County School bus driver for battery.

According to DCSS Police Chief Troy Conley, 39-year-old Alisha Lawton got into an argument Thursday with Transportation Director Grady Fields about a work related issue.

At one point, Lawton struck Fields and Fields defended herself.

Lawton is wanted on one count of battery.

Lawton had the chance to turn herself in over the weekend, but did not do so.

She has been with the Dougherty County School System for three years and, at last check, is still employed with them.
