ALBANY, GA --
The W.W. Williams Company is celebrating its 100th birthday in 2012 and is giving back to the community through charity donations.

Each store throughout the United States is allowing its employees to pick their charity of choice and donate $10,000 dollars toward that cause.

Albany employees chose "Mission Change," a local charity that spotlights worthy causes throughout the area. Officials with the charity were in shock saying that, "these kind of things never happen to them."

When asked about the donations, W.W. Williams President, Mark French said it was an obvious choice.

"We've been successful because the community has supported us, we feel that it's important, especially this year, but every year, to give back to the community any way we can," said French.

After the celebration is over, W.W. Williams will have donated over a million dollars to local charities throughout the United States
