ALBANY, GA --
Local and state delegates gathered outside the government center to urge people to register to vote.

Tuesday is National Register to Vote Day.

City commissioner Roger Marietta was on hand, calling on people to remember the days of the civil rights struggle when people suffered to exercise their right to vote.

But the point they wanted to get across was that everyone's vote matters and you can make a difference.

The deadline to register in time to vote in the presidential election is October 9th.
