ALBANY,GA --
Southwest Georgia's little peanut had its day Sunday in plains, Georgia.

It was the annual Plains Peanut Festival.

Lots of rides, tons of food, music and entertainment were on the docket.

President and Mrs... Carter even held book signings at two locations.

We talked with a woman who is a member of the Presidential Collector's Club who says this is a huge draw for the little town with two famous faces.

“Oh, I think it's very good for Plains, I know in the Presidential Collector's Club, there are people from all over the United States that come here this weekend so it does help the community very much,” says Theresa Jordan.

Unfortunately, no cameras were allowed inside where President Jimmy Carter was signing books, but everyone said he was very sweet and took his time to say hello to everyone.
