ALBANY, GA -- In our Facebook Story of the Day we asked, "are there any state regulations regarding marksmanship for Georgia Police officers?"

Captain Craig Dodd of the Dougherty County Police Department shed some light on the subject saying departments in the area actually hold themselves to a higher standard.

"The bare minimum requirement for law enforcement officers, is that they shoot a standardized course which is put out by the state of Georgia, they must do it a minimum of once a year and they must score a minimum of 80 percent," said Captain Dodd.
