In the Facebook story of the day, you wanted to know how many guns were reported stolen in Albany last year.

According to the Albany Police Department, there were 218 weapons reported stolen. Of those only 24 have been recovered.

The majority of those weapons were taken from unlocked vehicles. Albany police officials want the public to know that doesn’t necessarily mean the weapons are on still in Albany; the guns may have been moved to different areas.
