ALBANY, GA --
AmeriCorps Vista is holding its Annual 2012 community hygiene drive from September 10 to September 15.

All items go to the Salvation Army, A Place of Hope, Strive 2 Thrive and other organizations with families in need.

They are looking to collect toiletry items and other personal hygiene items like soaps, toothpaste, conditioner, shampoo, etc.

“There are a lot of homeless and people in need and it's a basic need. It's expensive sometimes when you have to take care of your family and eat and so we just wanted to do something like a drive to get these things for these families,” says Erin Hutchins, AmeriCorps Vista.

Drop off locations include Old Navy, Kmart, Sam's Club and the United Way off of Westover. If you would like to donate, contact the United Way on their 221 line.
