Department of Corrections to hold job fair for veterans

FORSYTHE, GA --
The Georgia Department of Corrections along with the US Department of Defense and National Guard will will host several state law enforcement agencies for a military personnel job fair on September 26th.

The fair is scheduled to take place from 10 AM to 2 PM at the State Offices South At Tift College in Forsythe.

Participating agencies including the Georgia Department of Corrections, Department of Juvenile Justice, Department of Public Safety, Department of Natural Resources, State Board of Pardons and Paroles and Georgia Bureau of Investigation have about 800 jobs available for military personnel returning from duty.

The event is free and those wanting to register may do so at this link.

The job fair will include an orientation with guest speakers and overviews of the participating agencies. "We look forward to hosting this job fair for military personnel," said GDC Commissioner Brian Owens in the release. "There are many job opportunities within Corrections or other law enforcement agencies for U.S. Veterans."
