ALBANY, GA --
In remembrance of the September 11th terrorist attacks, the Marine Corp Logistics Base held a remembrance ceremony Tuesday morning.

Base commander, Colonel Donald Davis, spoke on the importance of always remembering the events of that day.

He also said that the attacks has shown the importance of the work that men and women are performing on the base, "The vehicles that they repair, the (communication) equipment that they work on, the weapons systems that they fix, those play a very important roll on the war on terrorism."

Since the attacks, there has also been increased security around the base.

Although the tragic events took place 11 years ago, many people, like Coronel Davis, still remember September 11th, 2001 like it was yesterday.
