ALBANY, GA -- Two years of work seems to have paid off for The Parks at Chehaw.
The African Veldt exhibit made its debut on September 1st and has been a success in its first week of operation with many ticket sales.
The half-hour exhibit gives Southwest Georgians a taste of Africa with displays of zebras, ostriches, wildebeests and more.
Chehaw says in order to get the best experience, come during the morning or late afternoon show – animals seek shade during the hottest times of the day and are harder to spot.
The exhibit is open on weekends only for $5 a ticket and runs through November 26th.
