ALBANY, GA --

In the Facebook story of the day you wanted to know if the political party conventions have an effect on voters.

Rodger Marietta, a Political Science Professor at Darton State College said, "Some annalist say that because of the super PACs and all the money that's being spent on advertising that the conventions aren't going to have the same little bounces that they have in the past."

After looking at the most recent polls Marietta said after the Republican National Convention Mitt Romney picked up a few point, bringing him even with President Obama.

That may be short lived as the Democratic National Convention is underway, which he suspects will help Obama make up those lost points.
