LEE COUNTY, GA. -- A 26-year-old man is facing jail time in connection to a business fire on Ledo Road.
John Patrick Rodman Jr., 26, is accused of setting Limbcare on fire.
Firefighters with the Lee County Fire Department were called to the business around 10:15 a.m. Saturday morning.
Heavy smoke and flames were inside a back room in the structure when they made it to the scene.
After distinguishing the fire, officials discovered that it was intentional.
“We contacted the Georgia Fire Marshal's Office and had two investigators through their office arrived along with investigators from the Lee County Sheriff's Department. Some time Saturday night they charged 26-year-old John Rodman Jr. with arson in the first degree,” says Paul Branch, Lee County Asst. Fire Chief.
The motive and cause of fire has not been released.
Rodman is facing six charges, including aggravated assault on a Peace Officer, criminal damage to property, burglary, and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime.
According to Lee County fire officials; this case is still under investigation.
