MITCHELL COUNTY, GA --

Jerry Presley is out as the Mitchell County Administrator.

The board of commissioners voted Tuesday 3-1 to remove Presley from his role as Administrator, a position he has held since May 30th of this year.

Presley was presented a hand written note as a notice of his termination. The note stated the board of commission believed he wasn’t “a good match for Mitchell County”.

The board was allowed to dismiss Presley due to a clause in his contract that stated ether side could terminate the agreement at any time for any reason. Presley is entitled to three months salary.

Jerry Perminter will serve as interim administrator.
