Albany police make a barbecue burglary arrest

Albany police have made an arrest in the River Front Barbecue burglary from Monday thanks to tips received by the public through Crime Stoppers.

Officials say that 45-year-old Eugene Kennon Jr. was arrested around 9 PM last night and charged with burglary and possession of tools for the commission of a crime.

Detectives are still looking for 36-year-old 
Jomokenyette Tipton. Tipton is considered a person of interest and is only wanted for questioning at this time.

Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Tipton is encouraged to contact the Albany Police Department’s Criminal Investigation Bureau at (229) 431-3288.  If they prefer to provide information anonymously, you may call "Crime Stoppers” by dialing (229) 436-TIPS.
