ALBANY, GA -- One night after Dougherty County held their, "Night Out" event, the city of Sylvester held their own to promote a deeper relationship between public servants and the community.

"Well we try and promote cooperation between the community and the local law enforcement agencies, we hope we have a good crowd, we're not sure how many there's going to be, but we're hoping for a very good crowd tonight," said Sylvester Police Chief, Robert Jennings.

The event is held across the country, and besides building a bond between Police, Fire, and the Community, children can come out and get free school supplies for the upcoming academic year.

Other cities throughout Southwest Georgia have "Night Out" events scheduled, so keep informed on our website, mysouthwestga.com for updates on those upcoming events.
