ALBANY, GA --
A fire started earlier this week reignited Thursday due to weather conditions.

With the flames starting early Tuesday due to a lightning strike, firefighters remained cautious about a small fire burning outside of Leesburg, Georgia.

"They came out today due to weather conditions, and the fire looked like it had grown a little bit. We were afraid it was going to spread so we put breaks around it, and extinguished most of the fire," said Lieutenant Coleman Williams.

The fire will continue to be monitored in the coming weeks as it slowly burns out.
