ALBANY, GA --

On July 9, 10, 11, and 12, fifty young people from Beach United Methodist Church in Jacksonville, Florida will join environmental hands with Keep Albany-Dougherty Beautiful (KADB) as they visually enhance Albany by participating in the Mayor’s Call to Service project.

The group will do yard work at eight senior citizens’ homes, they will box lunches at the food bank ,paint and work at Eames Ball Park and limb up city crape myrtles.

Judy Bowles, Executive Director of KADB, stated, “These young people are to be commended for their commitment to visually improve our community during their summer break.”  Bowles also expressed appreciation to Mayor Hubbard who will personally express her appreciation for their commitment to volunteerism and for their continued dedication to  clean, safe communities.

July 10 - 1:00 p.m. - Paul Eames Ball Park - 1130 Ball Park Ln.
July 11 - 1:00 p.m. - Build Food Boxes/Food Bank - 3011 Clark Ave.
July 12 - 1:00 p.m. - Clean Yards - 1007-1009 E. Residence and 703 Hobson St, 2016 & 2014 Stratford Dr., 200 & 204 Lexington Drive
