ALBANY, GA. --
For those senior citizens whose first prom wasn't a night to remember, Friday night they got a chance to do it all over again.

The 9th Annual Senior Citizen's Prom was held at the Albany Civic Center.

The affair was a joined effort between the Albany Recreation and Parks, MCLB and the Albany Police Department.

The event themed "A Red Carpet Affair" had hundreds of seniors on their feet dancing and mingling with others in the crowd.

“There are some people from back in the day that didn't have a chance to go to their own prom, so the Good Life City is bringing it back to them. It's a night of celebration, a night of meeting new people, and a night of mingling in downtown,” says event organizer Tee Taylor.

The party went on until 11:00 p.m.
