ALBANY, GA. --
Lee County voters had the chance to interact with local and congressional candidates.

A meet and greet event was put on by the Lee County Republican Party at the Grand Island Golf club.

Candidates in attendance included people running for Lee County commission seats and multiple candidates running for the 2nd congressional seat.

Organizers say they wanted to give the candidates a chance to meet voters.

“The county GOP would like to give the residents an opportunity to make an informed decision and this is a chance to for them to come out talk to each candidate and make an informed decision on who they will vote for,” says Mike Sabot, Chairman of the Lee County Republican Party.

He says by holding these types of events people will be able to recognize the names on the ballots.
