ALBANY,GA --
An Albany man is in the hospital, after he was hit by a vehicle Thursday afternoon.
Police say Edward Hewett was riding his bicycle at the intersection of Cason and Oglethorpe when he suddenly veered into traffic.
Hewett was struck by a 2000 Mazda Protege driven by 17-year-old Marquis Fluellen.
A business owner who witnessed the accident said, Hewett flipped twice in the air and lost consciousness after hitting the ground.
Police are still investigating the incident, and charges are pending at this time.
