Phillip Phillip's parents become celebrities too!

ALBANY, GA -- On a return flight back to Albany after a trip covering the American Idol finale, Melanie Kendall ran into some familiar faces.

Phillip Phillip's parents were on the same return trip and were greeted on the plane and airport by people wanting to talk about their son.

When asked about what is going through their heads after the whirlwind Idol trip, Phillip's father said that he was "glad to be home, glad to get it over with, and wants to get him (Phillip) well.
