ALBANY, GA --
In our Facebook story of the day, you wanted to know if you entered your ATM pin number backwards, will it summon the police to your location?

Fox 31 spoke to Captain Craig Dodd of the Dougherty County Sheriff's Office who said this is definitely not true for multiple reasons.

"It would be very difficult and expensive and time consuming to wire each ATM so that it would automatically make a 911 call."

In fact, Captain Dodd says most passwords are set up to lock you out it if you enter it incorrectly a certain number of times.

Instead of getting your money and a visit from our city's finest, entering your pin backwards can force you to go home empty handed.
