ALBANY, GA. --
If southwest Georgia’s Phillip Phillips makes it into the final three on American Idol, he'll be welcomed home in style.

A representative from the Lee County Chamber of Commerce says the city plans to spend thousands of dollars on homecoming events taking place on Saturday, May 12, 2012 for American Idol Top 4 finalist Phillip Phillips.

This Saturday Phillips will start his day in Albany, stopping at his family's pawn shop before heading to Lee County.

Once in Leesburg, Georgia, there will be a parade will begin at 2:30 p.m. and will run down Hwy. 32 from Starksville Ave to the Lee County High School where there will be a concert at the Lee County High School football stadium. Gates will not open until 2:00 p.m. No coolers or backbacks will be allowed. The event is free and open to the public.
