Burglary attempt ends badly for would-be burglar

ALBANY, GA --
An early morning burglary attempt in Albany ended with the suspect on his way to the hospital.

According to police, 23-year-old Donald Byrd broke into an apartment at 2401 Nottingham Way just before 2:30 Monday morning.


 

The people inside the apartment shot Byrd in the left side.

Investigators say that after refusing treatment, Byrd fought back with police and was tazed. He was taken into custody and transported to the hospital.
