ALBANY,GA --
In our Facebook story of the day, you wanted to know what happens to animals found by law enforcement on a crime scene.

Captain Tom Jackson with the Dougherty County Police says if the suspect is arrested for dog fighting, then they will call animal control to come pick up the dogs.

“If we know in advance from what we would do, what we call recon, we already know they have an animal, we'll already have animal control there with us, so they would actually take control of the animals for us,” says Captain Jackson.

If released, the suspect would have to pay for every day the pets were kept at the humane society.
