ALBANY, GA. --
Easter morning started early for churches in Albany’s Downtown Fellowship.

Bethel A.M.E Church, First Presbyterian Church, and the First Methodist Church joined at the Ray Charles Plaza for sunrise service at 7:00 a.m.

Reverend Ernest Davis Jr. reminded people about the resurrection of Christ while focusing on the story of Peter.

Those who attended say the message was intended to help people to reach out to others.

“It's just nice to see churches coming together crossing the racial divided that still exist here in Albany to be brothers and sisters in Christ and to worship here together on Easter morning. I really enjoyed that aspect of the service,” says Joel Diaz, Youth Pastor at First Methodist Church.

This was the third annual sunrise service among the Downtown Fellowship.
